Lucky Cement expands clinker production capacity in Iraq

Lucky Cement Limited Thursday announced its plans to expand its clinker production capacity in Iraq in response to the increasing demand for cement in the country.

The expansion will be carried out through Lucky Cement’s joint venture company with Al-Shumookh group, Najmat-Al-Samawah (NAS), and will involve the addition of a new clinker production line in Samawah, Iraq.

The expansion project aims to boost the clinker production capacity by an additional 1.82 million tons per annum (MTPA).
