Veteran actress and producer Mariska Hargitay recently expressed her admiration for pop icon Taylor Swift while reminiscing about her appearance in Swift’s 2015 hit music video Bad Blood.
Speaking on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast, the Law & Order: SVU star opened up about her time working with Swift and being part of the star-studded cast.
“It was so fun. It’s the best music video,” said Hargitay, now 61, as she reflected on the experience that brought together a powerhouse lineup including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, Gigi Hadid, Hayley Williams, Zendaya, Karlie Kloss, Ellen Pompeo, and more.
The Emmy-winning actress also fondly recalled attending the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards with Swift and the rest of the Bad Blood cast. “That was the most fun—being in the squad with all the cool girls and supermodels. It was the most fun ever,” she said, clearly cherishing the memories.
During the interview, Hargitay praised Swift’s personality and work ethic, calling her “warm and smart” while also describing her as “kind and a boss lady.” She shared how much she admired Swift’s confidence and leadership, especially at such a young age.
“What I love about her is that she’s so young, but she shows us in such beautiful ways how to be fearless and a boss lady,” Hargitay added, noting that she had learned a lot from observing the singer.
Hargitay also hinted at her eagerness to collaborate with Swift again. When asked whether she would consider starring in another music video by the Cruel Summer singer, she enthusiastically responded, “If Tay Tay asked me. I’m hoping I’m standing by for Taylor. I only do Taylor Swift videos now.”
With mutual admiration and a shared creative spark, Hargitay and Swift’s artistic connection continues to captivate fans, adding another layer of celebrity friendship to Swift’s ever-expanding universe.
