Marvel fans are buzzing once again as Mark Ruffalo has finally broken his silence on the rumors surrounding his possible return as Hulk in the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The actor addressed the speculation during a recent interview, but he made it clear that nothing has been confirmed just yet.
“I don’t know! I’m still waiting to hear,” Ruffalo admitted when pressed about reprising the role of Bruce Banner. “I haven’t read a script yet. If it does happen, it would be incredible.” His comments, while cautious, have only fueled excitement among fans who have been eager to see the Green Goliath smash his way back onto the big screen.
Reflecting on his long Marvel journey, Ruffalo acknowledged how transformative the role has been for him. “I grew up with this. It’s changed my life in the best ways,” he explained, adding that every Marvel project feels like stepping into a brand-new world with a fresh director and vision. “It’s so exciting. There’s nothing else like it,” the Oscar-nominated star said.
The actor last appeared as Hulk in the 2022 Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, though his final big-screen appearance remains Avengers: Endgame in 2019. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day already generating global hype—featuring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and a star-studded cast—fans can’t help but hope that Ruffalo will once again join the action.
The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
