Matt Damon may be the Hollywood star in his family, but his daughter Isabella has revealed that she has been giving him advice for years.

The father-daughter duo attended the 2026 CFDA Awards at New York’s Museum of Natural History on November 2, sharing a light-hearted conversation with People magazine about their advice-sharing relationship.

“We both have trouble answering questions seriously,” Damon joked when asked who usually offers guidance.

He added that they often advise each other to take questions more seriously.

However, Isabella, 20, was quick to remind her famous father that she had been offering him advice for quite some time.

“I feel like I’ve been teaching you, giving you advice for a long time,” she told him.

Damon agreed, while Isabella jokingly described their dynamic as a natural progression.

Beyond the humour, the Good Will Hunting star expressed his admiration for his daughter.

“She’s a wonderful, wonderful young woman and I don’t give her advice in the sense that I worry about her,” he said, adding that he was excited to see what she would do with her life.

Isabella, who signed with IMG Models in August, attracted attention in a white crocheted gown featuring dramatic fringed sleeves. Damon complemented her appearance in a Ralph Lauren Purple Label tuxedo.

The actor shares Isabella and three other daughters with his wife, Luciana. He recently praised his family’s support during the demanding filming of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
