The Stranger Things star discusses treating injured animals and promoting adoption while sharing heartwarming glimpses of motherhood with her fans.
Millie Bobby Brown has opened up about her hands-on involvement in animal rescue, revealing that she personally provides medical care to injured dogs and helps prepare them for adoption.
The 22-year-old actress, best known for her role in Stranger Things, discussed her veterinary skills during a February 2025 interview with Vanity Fair.
“I’m able to treat wounds, take their pulse, moderate blood pressure, things like that. I do all their medical records myself,” she said.
Brown also stressed that raising awareness through social media was not enough to improve the lives of abandoned animals, highlighting the importance of practical involvement.
“Adoption campaigns [on social media] are wonderful temporarily, but you really have to get in there and do the work to make a difference,” she explained.
The actress also celebrated the first annual gala organised by her dog rescue initiative, describing the event as an evening dedicated to community, compassion and purpose. She said the gathering helped raise awareness about rescue dogs and the importance of giving them second chances.
Meanwhile, Brown recently delighted her 70.4 million Instagram followers with a collection of autumn-themed photographs captioned, “Fallen so madly for fall.”
The carousel included sweet glimpses of her infant son, including a photograph showing his tiny hand and another featuring his feet in pumpkin-themed socks.
Other pictures showed a table setting labelled “Mommy”, a pyjama mirror selfie and Brown alongside her husband, Jake Bongiovi, at a Gift of Adoption event.
The couple have not publicly revealed their son’s name or exact age.
