Hollywood star Matt Damon may be a celebrated actor, but at home, he’s just “Dad.” The Oscar-winning actor was spotted enjoying a rare family outing at the New York premiere of his new Netflix film, The Rip, co-starring longtime friend Ben Affleck.

Damon attended the event with his wife Luciana Barroso and their four daughters: Alexia, 26, Isabella, 19, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15. While the family’s united appearance grabbed attention, it was 17-year-old Gia who stole the spotlight with a playful jab at her father’s red carpet stance.

Caught on camera, Gia teased Damon, saying, “Why are you standing like this?” while mimicking his slightly hunched pose. Damon laughed along, exaggerating the stance for photographers, creating one of the night’s most lighthearted moments.

The premiere also marked the first red carpet outing with Isabella, Gia, and Stella since July 2024, when they joined him for The Instigators. Alexia, Damon’s eldest stepdaughter, also joined the family, posing alongside her parents and sister Isabella.

Damon has frequently expressed the joys of fatherhood, describing becoming a stepfather to Alexia as life-changing, comparing it to the Grinch’s heart growing “five times its size.” In 2019, he even got tattoos of all four daughters’ names on his arm, alongside a tribute to Luciana.

The evening was a heartwarming reminder that no matter how big the Hollywood spotlight, family always comes first for Matt Damon.
