Meghan Markle has once again stirred controversy after being accused of showing a “lack of respect” toward the British Royal Family.
The Duchess of Sussex recently made comments about her past life as a working royal, which insiders claim were intended to “mock” her former royal role and obligations.
Speaking on The Circuit with Emily Chang, Meghan reflected on how much her life has changed since leaving the UK. “It was different several years ago when I couldn’t be as vocal, and I had to wear nude pantyhose all the time,” she said. “Let’s be honest, that was not very myself. That felt a little bit inauthentic,” the Duchess added.
According to a report by Radar Online, royal insiders saw Meghan’s remarks as disrespectful toward the traditions and expectations that come with royal duties. They believe her words were a subtle dig at the protocols she once followed during her time in the monarchy.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in 2020, relocating to California with their son, Prince Archie. The couple has since spoken openly about their challenges within the Royal Family, including allegations of racism and a lack of support from the Palace.
Now settled in Montecito, California, with their two children — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — Meghan continues to pursue media and philanthropic ventures, despite ongoing scrutiny from royal watchers.
