Meghan Markle faces backlash after communications director resigns over Paris video

Meghan Markle is once again under public scrutiny after reportedly losing another senior member of her communications team following a controversial social media post.

Emily Robinson, who was appointed earlier this year as the communications director for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is understood to have resigned amid growing backlash over Meghan’s recent video filmed in Paris.

The Duchess of Sussex posted a short clip of herself driving near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, the tragic site where Princess Diana died in a car crash in 1997. The post sparked intense criticism from royal watchers and the public, many of whom deemed it insensitive.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun that the move likely reflected internal disagreements between Meghan and her advisers. “So, of course, everyone said, oh, she’s following the route that Diana took. Well, she probably may have been, or she may not have been, but how incredibly …,” Seward commented.

She added, “It was just really bad timing. Her PR people would surely have advised her that putting up all these posts is not a good idea.”

Robinson’s sudden exit marks yet another shake-up within Meghan and Prince Harry’s team, raising questions about ongoing tensions and the couple’s public relations strategy as they continue to rebuild their media image.
