Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is prioritizing a slow and reflective start to the new year as Prince Harry prepares to return to the UK.

In her latest newsletter to subscribers of her lifestyle brand As Ever, the 44-year-old shared her intention to “begin the new year at a gentler pace” following a busy 2025 that included her Instagram return, the launch of her brand, and the premiere of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. She encouraged fans to create “space for moments that matter – shared over a cup of tea, by candlelight, or simply taking a pause when the day allows.”

Describing the mindset as “its own kind of resolution,” Meghan emphasized the importance of starting the year thoughtfully. The Sussexes celebrated Christmas at their Montecito home, with Meghan detailing family traditions such as wrapping presents late at night, checking Santa’s treats, and enjoying board games, music, and “endless grazing.”

While Harry is expected to return to the UK for the start of his High Court legal claim against Associated Newspapers Limited on January 12, Meghan will remain in California with their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. This approach allows her to focus on family life and embrace a calmer, more intentional pace for the year ahead.

The Sussexes’ approach highlights their balance between public obligations and private life, reflecting Meghan’s ongoing focus on mindfulness, family, and meaningful moments.
