Karachi, December 4, 2025 – The Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has elected Mehmood Bikiya as its president for the 2025-26 term, following the 69th Annual General Meeting held on Thursday.
The election also concluded with the appointment of other office bearers and members of the Executive Committee for the upcoming year.
The newly elected Office Bearers for 2025-26 are:
• President: Mr. Muhammad Mehmood Bikiya
• Vice President: Mr. Saud ul Hassan
• General Secretary: Mr. Shams Mohiuddin Ansari
• Joint Secretary: Mr. Abdul Wahab
• Librarian: Mr. Muhammad Tarique
The Executive Committee Members elected for the year include:

3. Mr. Haider Imam
4. Mr. Haris Tufail
5. Mr. Hunain Mithani
6. Mr. Imran Lilani

The KTBA leadership expressed confidence that the newly elected team will continue to uphold the association’s objectives, strengthen professional standards, and support the legal and tax community in Karachi. Mehmood Bikiya, in his acceptance speech, highlighted the importance of collective efforts to enhance tax-related legal practices and ensure the professional development of KTBA members.
The association also emphasized that the new Executive Committee will focus on organizing seminars, workshops, and training programs to keep members updated with evolving tax laws and regulations. Stakeholders and members of KTBA anticipate that the 2025-26 tenure under Bikiya’s leadership will further reinforce the association’s role as a leading body representing tax professionals in Karachi.
