Mercedes Pakistan teases launch of new electric GLC 400 SUV

Premium electric SUV expected to introduce advanced technology, long driving range, and a luxury-focused driving experience in Pakistan.

Mercedes-Benz Pakistan has hinted at the arrival of its latest electric luxury SUV, the Mercedes GLC 400 4MATIC Electric, through a teaser campaign on social media.

While the company has not officially announced a launch date or pricing, the teaser image and accompanying message suggest that the all-new electric GLC will soon make its debut in the local market.

The company shared the message, “A new electric experience arrives soon,” alongside a preview of the SUV’s front fascia. The illuminated grille and modern lighting signature indicate that the teased model is the upcoming Mercedes GLC 400 electric SUV, reflecting the brand’s latest design language for its next-generation electric vehicles.

Modern Exterior with Signature Mercedes Styling

The new electric GLC features a refined exterior inspired by traditional Mercedes-Benz SUV proportions while introducing a more contemporary appearance. One of its standout design elements is the illuminated chrome grille, which gives the front end a distinctive and premium look.

The sleek silhouette, sculpted body lines, and aerodynamic styling further enhance the SUV’s road presence while maintaining the elegance associated with the Mercedes-Benz brand.

High-Tech Cabin and Intelligent Features

Inside, the all-new electric GLC focuses on luxury and advanced technology. The cabin is equipped with premium materials and the latest MBUX Hyperscreen, offering a seamless digital display across the dashboard. Active ambient lighting further enhances the premium interior atmosphere.

The SUV is powered by the newly developed Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), which integrates infotainment, vehicle functions, automated driving features, comfort systems, and charging management into a single platform. Built on a chip-to-cloud architecture, the system supports over-the-air software updates and personalized user experiences.

The fourth-generation MBUX infotainment system also incorporates artificial intelligence technologies from Microsoft and Google to provide more intuitive interaction.

Spacious Interior and Long Electric Range

Mercedes says the electric GLC has been designed to offer practicality alongside luxury. A panoramic SKY CONTROL roof creates a brighter cabin environment, while increased legroom and a flexible luggage compartment improve overall usability. The SUV also includes an additional 128-litre front trunk (frunk) for extra storage.

In terms of performance, the electric GLC offers a claimed WLTP driving range of up to 715 kilometres on a full charge. Fast-charging capability allows the vehicle to recover up to 305 kilometres of driving range in just 10 minutes, making it suitable for longer journeys.

The SUV also features AIRMATIC air suspension, rear-axle steering, intelligent driver assistance systems, and advanced safety technologies aimed at delivering a comfortable and confident driving experience.

Although Mercedes-Benz Pakistan has yet to confirm official specifications, pricing, or launch timelines for the local market, the teaser indicates that the company’s electric vehicle portfolio is set to expand as demand for premium EVs continues to grow in Pakistan.
