Company begins local production of facelifted MG HS Hybrid+ (HEV) and MG HS Super Hybrid (PHEV), marking another milestone in Pakistan’s hybrid vehicle segment.
MG Pakistan has officially rolled out the first locally assembled units of the new facelifted MG HS Hybrid+ (HEV) and MG HS Super Hybrid (PHEV), marking another step in the company’s local manufacturing journey.
The development highlights the expansion of hybrid vehicle production in Pakistan as automakers continue to strengthen their local assembly operations.
Announcing the milestone, the company said the successful production of the first locally assembled units reflects more than the launch of a new vehicle. According to MG Pakistan, the achievement represents the efforts of its workforce, local manufacturing capabilities, and its commitment to producing hybrid vehicles in the country.
The automaker stated that the line-off of the All-New MG HS Super Hybrid (PHEV) and MG HS Hybrid+ (HEV) marks another important milestone for MG Motors Pakistan. The company added that the vehicles assembled at its manufacturing facility will soon reach customers across the country, supporting the growing demand for electrified mobility solutions.
The rollout also underscores MG Pakistan’s continued focus on expanding its portfolio of hybrid vehicles. With increasing consumer interest in fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly transportation, several automakers have introduced hybrid and plug-in hybrid models in Pakistan over the past year.
Industry observers believe local assembly could help improve vehicle availability while supporting the country’s developing automotive manufacturing sector.
Alongside the announcement, MG Pakistan confirmed the ex-factory prices of both newly assembled variants.
The MG HS Hybrid+ (HEV) carries an ex-factory price of Rs9,499,000, while the MG HS Super Hybrid (PHEV) is priced at Rs10,199,000.
The facelifted MG HS lineup is expected to compete in Pakistan’s increasingly competitive hybrid SUV market, where buyers are showing greater interest in vehicles offering improved fuel economy and advanced technology. The local assembly of both hybrid variants may also contribute to shorter delivery times and greater availability for customers.
With the first locally assembled facelifted MG HS models now rolling off the production line, MG Pakistan has added another chapter to its local manufacturing operations as the country’s automotive industry continues its gradual shift toward hybrid and electrified vehicles.
