Islamabad, September 5, 2023 – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast for September 6, 2023, indicating thundershower activity in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
While most parts of the country are expected to experience dry weather with humidity prevailing in plain areas, isolated rain-wind and thundershowers are predicted for specific regions.
As of Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the PMD’s report stated that dry weather conditions would persist over the majority of the country, accompanied by humidity in the plain areas. However, the following areas have been earmarked for potential rain-wind and thundershower occurrences: Potohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Over the past 24 hours, the weather across Pakistan has been characterized by hot and humid conditions, with sporadic rain-wind and thunderstorms affecting several regions. Rainfall measurements (in millimeters) for select locations are as follows:
