In a fresh development for Pakistan’s growing electric mobility market, Pak Star Automobile Pvt Ltd has officially increased the prices of its Metro electric scooter lineup.
The company attributed this hike to rising operational costs amid ongoing economic pressures in the country.
According to an official notification, the prices of all Metro electric vehicle models have been increased by Rs 5,000. The revised rates are now applicable to all new bookings placed from the announcement date.
Why the Price Hike?
The latest increase reflects the broader impact of inflation, rising fuel cost, and higher import costs affecting Pakistan’s auto sector.
As electric vehicles (EVs) rely heavily on imported components such as batteries and electronics, manufacturers are adjusting prices to maintain sustainability.
For consumers, this means slightly higher upfront costs—but Metro scooters still remain one of the more affordable entry points into electric mobility in Pakistan.

Despite the price revision, Metro’s electric scooters continue to attract budget-conscious buyers looking for fuel-free commuting solutions.
With petrol prices remaining volatile, EV scooters are increasingly seen as a practical alternative for daily travel in urban centers like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
However, potential buyers may want to act quickly on future purchases, as further price adjustments cannot be ruled out given the current economic climate.
