MG HS New

MG Motor Pakistan has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming MG HS Hybrid, which is scheduled to debut on April 25, 2026. The announcement marks the arrival of an updated version of the popular SUV, expected to bring a refreshed design and improved technology to the Pakistani market.

In teaser visuals shared by the company, the upcoming MG HS Hybrid showcases a more modern exterior. The images highlight sleek daytime running lights (DRLs), newly redesigned LED headlamps, and a striking full-width LED taillight bar at the rear. The teaser also offers glimpses of the SUV’s side profile, front fascia, and rear styling, indicating a sharper and more premium design language compared to the current model.

Despite revealing the launch date and design cues, MG Pakistan has not yet disclosed the official specifications, price, or booking details for the new hybrid SUV. The company has kept key information under wraps, building anticipation ahead of the official unveiling.

Industry observers believe the new model could also introduce an updated Trophy variant. This speculation gained momentum after MG Motor Pakistan recently discontinued the MG HS Trophy version in the local market. Many expect the variant to return as part of the 2026 facelift lineup with upgraded features.

Based on international variants of the MG HS facelift, the upcoming SUV is expected to deliver a balanced combination of performance and fuel efficiency. Reports suggest it may feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing around 170 horsepower. The engine could be paired with an automatic dual-clutch transmission, while some markets may also offer a manual option.

Performance figures indicate the SUV may accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 9.6 seconds. In terms of practicality, the vehicle is expected to provide a boot space of around 507 liters, making it suitable for family trips and daily commuting.

The facelifted MG HS is also expected to feature a more dynamic exterior appearance. A wider front grille, sharp LED headlights, and a floating roofline contribute to a sportier stance. The SUV may also include stylish 19-inch alloy wheels and a refined aerodynamic profile.

Inside the cabin, the MG HS Hybrid is likely to offer a premium interior with modern technology. The dashboard design is expected to follow a clean horizontal layout, enhancing the sense of space. Soft-touch materials, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and improved passenger comfort are also anticipated.

More details about pricing, booking, and complete specifications are expected to be revealed during the official launch event later this week.
