Samsung is expanding its latest software update to more flagship devices, bringing several new artificial intelligence features previously limited to its newest smartphones. After rolling out the 10th beta of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series, the company has now extended the beta program to older premium models including the Galaxy S24 lineup and foldable devices.
According to recent reports, the One UI 8.5 beta is now reaching a wider range of Samsung smartphones. Devices receiving the update include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy S25 FE. The update introduces AI-powered tools that originally debuted with the Galaxy S26 lineup.
One of the standout additions is the new Call Screening feature. This tool allows the smartphone to automatically answer calls from unknown numbers and provide users with real-time transcripts of the conversation. It is designed to help users avoid spam calls while still allowing them to monitor incoming communications.
Samsung is also introducing Creative Studio, a new generative editing suite integrated into the gallery app. This feature enables users to create stickers and apply AI-powered edits directly to photos. The upgraded Photo Assist tool further improves editing capabilities by making it easier to remove unwanted objects and intelligently fill backgrounds within images.
Another key upgrade is the improved Audio Eraser function. Previously limited to videos recorded using the default camera app, the tool now supports third-party applications such as WhatsApp and Instagram. This allows users to remove background noise, including wind sounds, from videos recorded across multiple platforms.
Reports from SamMobile indicate that the update is already reaching beta testers on devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. The latest beta builds, reportedly over 800MB in size, also include bug fixes addressing lock screen clock placement, taskbar visibility, and audio playback issues.
Meanwhile, users in India have also begun receiving the update. Tipster Tarun Vats reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are now getting Beta 4 in the region, while the Galaxy S25 FE has also entered the beta rollout.
To access these new features, users must be enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program. Those currently running One UI 8 will need to wait for the stable release, which could arrive as early as next month based on Samsung’s typical update schedule.
