Chinese auto giant SAIC has officially introduced the all-new MG 4X, a compact electric SUV designed to strengthen the brand’s position in the rapidly growing EV market.
Built on SAIC’s advanced Nebula electric platform, the new model combines sporty performance, modern technology, and intelligent driving features at a competitive price point.
The MG 4X arrives with four different variants and carries a starting price of 99,800 yuan, while the top-end version reaches 116,800 yuan.
Buyers can also benefit from promotional offers that reduce the entry-level price further, making the SUV even more attractive for EV enthusiasts.
Modern Exterior With Sporty Styling
The latest electric SUV continues MG’s modern design philosophy with a sleek and futuristic appearance. It features a closed-off front grille, stylish LED daytime running lights, and an illuminated MG logo that gives the vehicle a premium road presence.
In terms of dimensions, the MG 4X measures 4,500 mm in length, 1,849 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height. The wheelbase stretches to 2,735 mm, promising improved cabin space and ride comfort for passengers.
Tech-Focused Interior Experience
Inside, the MG 4X offers a high-tech cabin loaded with advanced digital features. Drivers get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a large 15.6-inch floating infotainment touchscreen.
The SUV’s intelligent system is powered by the Doubao large language model, enabling enhanced voice interaction across multiple zones in the cabin. Smartphone integration is another major highlight, with support for Apple CarPlay, HiCar, Carlink, and Oppo smart connectivity features.
Performance and Battery Options
MG is offering the SUV with two electric motor configurations producing 168 horsepower and 201 horsepower respectively. The rear-wheel-drive setup and five-link independent rear suspension are expected to deliver a balanced driving experience with better handling and comfort.
The EV is available with two battery choices, including a 53.9 kWh battery pack and a larger 64.2 kWh unit. Depending on the variant, the claimed driving range reaches up to 610 kilometers on the CLTC cycle, making it suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Advanced Driver Assistance Features
The MG 4X also focuses heavily on intelligent driving technologies. Entry-level variants receive L2 assisted driving support, while higher trims include advanced L2+ capabilities such as highway pilot assistance and intelligent parking functions using multiple cameras, radars, and smart sensors.
