Mia Goth has made a surprisingly honest confession about her teenage years, revealing that she regularly shoplifted before an incident forced her to stop.
In a new interview with W Magazine, the Frankenstein star opened up about her rebellious past, admitting that stealing was a frequent habit during her early teens. Goth recalled one moment in particular that left a lasting mark — literally.
“When I was about 14, I stole a meatball sandwich from Costa, a café in London,” the actress shared. She explained that after taking the sandwich home and heating it in the oven, she ended up with a scar, which she described as a turning point.
Goth admitted that her shoplifting went far beyond food. “I stole so much stuff,” she said, revealing that at one point nearly everything she wore — from her headband and earrings to her tights and shoes — had been stolen.
However, the habit eventually came to an abrupt end after she was caught stealing perfume. “And then I got caught… and I stopped,” Goth said.
The actress also spoke candidly about her approach to auditions and career ambition, joking that she would “lie about pretty much anything” if it meant landing a role. “If you need me to horseback ride, speak Chinese, and tap-dance — funnily enough, those are lifelong passions of mine,” she added humorously.
Goth’s frank remarks have sparked conversation, offering a rare glimpse into her unconventional path to success in Hollywood.
