Michelle Keegan has delighted fans with exciting career news, just days after her husband Mark Wright shared a more down-to-earth family update.
The Brassic star, 38, is set to lead a new ITV drama titled The Blame, joining forces with acclaimed actors from Line of Duty and Black Mirror.
Based on Charlotte Langley’s gripping novel, the series will see Keegan play Detective Inspector Emma Crane, a determined investigator racing to solve a complex murder case. She will be joined by Line of Duty favourite Nigel Boyle, who steps into the role of forensic technician Brett Shergill. The ensemble cast also features Black Mirror’s Joe Armstrong, along with Ian Hart, Nathan Mensah, Gavin Spokes, and Ceallach Spellman.
Off-screen, life has been equally eventful for the actress and her husband, Mark Wright, as they embrace parenthood with their five-month-old daughter, Palma. The family recently travelled to Palma, Majorca, a trip that Wright discussed while hosting the Heart Saturday Breakfast show alongside Olly Murs.
When Olly asked about the holiday, Wright admitted to one small disappointment upon arrival—passport control. “Whenever you land in another country and go through passport control, they’re never happy,” he joked, noting the lack of smiles from officials.
With The Blame now in production, Keegan’s return to prime-time drama promises plenty of intrigue, while her family life with Wright continues to keep fans engaged.
