Global pop icon Miley Cyrus has delighted fans by announcing a Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ on March 24.
The highly anticipated special celebrates two decades since the debut of Hannah Montana, the groundbreaking Disney Channel show that launched Cyrus into international stardom. The anniversary programme will feature a rare, in-depth interview with Cyrus, filmed in front of a live studio audience and hosted by Alex Cooper of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Described as an intimate reflection, the special will explore the creation of the iconic character and the lasting cultural impact of the series. Cyrus will revisit unforgettable moments and music, with several beloved sets recreated, including the famous closet and the Stewart family living room. Fans can also look forward to never-before-seen archival footage from the original run.
“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am,” Cyrus said. “This ‘Hannahversary’ is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who’ve stood by me for 20 years.”
Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis praised the show’s enduring influence, calling the special a heartfelt tribute to fans worldwide. The programme is produced by HopeTown Entertainment and Unwell Productions, with Ashley Edens as showrunner and Cyrus among the executive producers.
Alongside the anniversary special, Disney+ will launch a dedicated Hannah Montana Collection, featuring all four seasons, Hannah Montana: The Movie, and the popular concert film.
The 20th Anniversary Special streams on March 24, offering a nostalgic celebration of a series that defined a generation.
