Miley Cyrus shares health update on Dolly Parton after recent concerns

Entertainment World

Miley Cyrus has shared a reassuring update on her godmother Dolly Parton’s health after the country music legend raised concerns earlier this year. Fans have been worried since Parton missed a major event in September, where Dollywood unveiled its new Night Flight Expedition ride.

While attending the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere in Los Angeles, Cyrus spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how Parton has been recovering following what the singer previously described as “health challenges.”

“She’s always gonna keep the show going,” Cyrus said. “The show must go on. She’s just excited to get back to work.”

Dolly Parton’s Earlier Health Concerns

Parton addressed her September absence in a video message shown at the Dollywood event. “Hello Dollywood! It’s me. I know — and I’m here, and you’re there. And you’re wondering why that is?” she said. “Well, I had a little problem.”

She explained that she suffered from a kidney stone that caused an infection. “The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.’”

Because of the health issue, Parton also postponed several scheduled Las Vegas shows.

Fans Worried After Sister’s Post

Concerns escalated when Parton’s sister, Freida Parton, posted on Facebook that she had been “up all night praying” for the 9 to 5 icon. Hours later, Freida clarified that she “didn’t mean to scare anyone” and that Dolly was simply “a little under the weather.”

With Miley Cyrus now assuring fans that Parton is eager to return to work, supporters of the country legend can breathe a sigh of relief as she continues her recovery.
