Millie Bobby Brown Eyes Celebrity Traitors After Lie Test

Stranger Things star says she would excel on the hit reality competition after being labelled a “pathological liar” in a lie detector test.

Actress Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that she is eager to join a future celebrity edition of The Traitors, saying she believes she would perform well on the deception-based reality competition after an amusing experience with a lie detector test.

The 22-year-old Stranger Things star made the comments while discussing a recent lie detector challenge she completed alongside her Enola Holmes co-star Louis Partridge.

Speaking to Britain’s The Sun newspaper, Brown said the experience convinced her that she would be a strong contender on the popular BBC programme, which centres on strategy, trust and deception.

“I so want to be on The Traitors. I think I’d be really good,” Brown said.

The actress explained that Partridge struggled during the test, while she appeared calm throughout the process.

“Louis was sweating during the whole thing and could not lie,” Brown recalled. “And then he said, ‘Her hands are getting cooler and she’s evading the questions.'”

According to Brown, the results humorously concluded that she was a “pathological liar,” prompting laughter from both actors.

While Brown is interested in appearing on The Traitors, she also revealed her enthusiasm for reality television more broadly, describing herself as a devoted fan of the genre.

Among her favourite programmes is Love Island, although she admitted her husband, Jake Bongiovi, does not share the same level of interest.

“He’s like, ‘Millie, I don’t care about these people.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I do. And they just broke up,'” she joked.

Brown said she regularly watches a wide range of reality television shows, calling herself a “reality TV snob.”

The actress previously suggested that she would not fare particularly well on Love Island. During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast last year, Brown said she would likely be eliminated quickly because she tends to avoid conflict.

“I would be voted out immediately,” she said at the time. “I would be so boring, because I hate drama.”

When asked which reality programme she would most like to join, Brown named The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, describing herself as “obsessed” with the series.

Brown recently completed her decade-long run on Netflix’s Stranger Things and is currently promoting Enola Holmes 3, the latest instalment of the mystery film franchise in which she stars as the titular detective.

Whether a celebrity version of The Traitors will eventually feature Brown remains unclear, but the actress appears confident that her ability to keep a straight face could make her a formidable contestant.
