Millie Bobby Brown may be best known for her sharp instincts as the young detective in Enola Holmes, but it turns out those detective skills are just as strong off-screen. The actress recently revealed that she figured out the ending of Stranger Things long before anyone else in the cast—and she didn’t learn it through official channels.
During her Dec. 7 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Millie shared that ahead of the final season’s table read, the entire cast was still in the dark about how the story would wrap up. Well… almost the entire cast.
“I didn’t really know how I was going to react,” she recalled. “And then the night before the last table read, we didn’t know what was gonna happen—nobody knew. I actually did know.”
Millie Secretly Sleuths Her Way Into the Ending
Asked how she discovered the huge finale reveal, Millie joked that she loves “blackmailing the directors.” She then explained the real story: she quietly snuck into the writers’ room, where she found a giant whiteboard outlining every major twist and plot detail of the highly anticipated final season.
“I saw this really big whiteboard with all of the endings on it,” she said. “And I was like, ‘Ahh, so much to process!’”
Emotional Final Table Read for the Cast
While she had already pieced together the ending, Millie admitted that reading the full script with the cast was still deeply emotional. Instead of the traditional table setup, the cast gathered on couches, creating a more intimate atmosphere.
“We sat on couches, and we cried for basically two hours straight,” she revealed.
Fans Brace for a Powerful Final Chapter
As Stranger Things moves toward its long-awaited final chapter on Netflix, fans can expect an intense, emotional conclusion—one that clearly moved the cast even before filming began. Millie’s behind-the-scenes confession adds even more intrigue as audiences wait to see how the beloved sci-fi series will wrap up its story.
