Minister inaugurates first Enverex electric car showroom

Karachi, June 23, 2025 – Provincial Minister for Energy, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, officially inaugurated the first Enverex electric car showroom, marking a significant step toward promoting eco-friendly transportation in the province.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Muhammad Zakir Ali, CEO of Enverex Industries, Director Abdul Rehman, and other key dignitaries. The inauguration ceremony commenced with the cutting of a ribbon by the provincial minister.

During the event, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah took a tour of the showroom and inspected the wide array of electric vehicles displayed by Enverex. The company’s CEO, Muhammad Zakir Ali, provided an in-depth briefing about the electric vehicles, detailing their features, benefits, and the technology behind them. In addition, information regarding Enverex’s after-sales services was shared, emphasizing the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Notably, the showroom also showcased the installation of electric vehicle charging ports, which can be set up at homes to ensure greater convenience for customers.

Speaking to the media, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah praised Enverex for its role in local electric vehicle production, stating, “Today we have inaugurated the Enverex Industries EV showroom. We fully support the production of electric vehicles locally, and we are excited about the future of this industry.” He highlighted the economic benefits of electric vehicles, noting that the cost of running an electric car is just Rs. 4 per kilometre.

Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing eco-friendly energy projects, aligning with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. “In line with Chairman Bilawal’s vision, we are promoting and supporting eco-friendly initiatives, including the establishment of electric charging stations,” said Shah. He added that government-owned land would be used for these charging stations, and the Sindh government had made it mandatory for new buildings to incorporate electric vehicle charging facilities.

The minister also revealed plans to set up electric charging stations every 30 to 40 kilometers along major highways, ensuring convenience for electric vehicle users traveling between cities. “Special funds are being allocated for these green initiatives, and we are determined to shift more vehicles and motorcycles to electric power, further supporting the shift to a cleaner, greener future,” Shah concluded.

The inauguration of the Enverex showroom is a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to promote electric mobility in Pakistan. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in the country’s pursuit of sustainable energy solutions.
