Islamabad, August 9, 2025 – The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), operating under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (MOP&HRD), has announced that 131,817 foreign jobs are currently available for Pakistani workers.

These opportunities are part of a total of 275,669 employment slots reported this year.

According to official data, around 337,000 Pakistanis have secured foreign jobs from January 1 to June 30, 2025. This rising trend reflects the Ministry’s effective policies in creating new avenues for both skilled and unskilled workers seeking foreign employment.

Since its inception in 1971, the Bureau has facilitated over 10 million Pakistanis in obtaining overseas employment. The year 2015 saw the highest migration figure, with 946,571 citizens proceeding abroad for work. Officials say these jobs play a crucial role in boosting Pakistan’s economy by generating foreign remittances, funding development projects, and alleviating poverty.

The Bureau oversees the entire emigration process, regulating private-sector Overseas Employment Promoters (OEPs) and supporting individuals who secure foreign jobs directly through personal contacts or relatives abroad. Its functions also include licensing OEPs, conducting pre-departure briefings, providing mandatory insurance coverage, and signing agreements with foreign countries for manpower export.

By maintaining a detailed database of migrant workers since 1971, the Bureau supports policy-making for the government. Officials reaffirm their commitment to expanding opportunities, improving worker welfare, and ensuring that Pakistan remains a strong supplier of skilled manpower to the foreign job market.
