Xiaomi is all set to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphone — the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 — on Thursday, June 26, and the company has been teasing its key features and refined design ahead of the big reveal.

The Mix Flip 2 is shaping up to be a substantial upgrade over its predecessor, offering enhancements in durability, performance, and usability.

The upcoming foldable phone maintains the overall aesthetic of last year’s model but introduces fresh color options including green, purple, and a stylish beige variant with a checkered pattern.

One of the standout design updates is a new, more robust hinge structure, paired with a frosted metal midframe. The phone is also impressively thin at just 7.57mm when folded and weighs 199 grams, making it both sleek and portable.

The Mix Flip 2 is equipped with a 4.01-inch OLED cover display, which now curves on three sides and delivers peak brightness of 3,200 nits.

Xiaomi has optimized this screen to support over 500 apps, enabling users to run multiple apps simultaneously without unfolding the phone. Meanwhile, the main display remains a 6.86-inch flexible OLED panel, now enhanced with “ultra-tough flexible glass” to improve durability.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version chipset and boasts 12GB of RAM.

On the software front, it will debut with Android 15, ensuring cutting-edge functionality and security. The Mix Flip 2 also includes a 5,165mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, offering both longevity and fast refueling.

Recent Geekbench listings have revealed impressive performance figures for the Mix Flip 2, with scores of 3,099 in single-core and 9,583 in multi-core tests, confirming its flagship-level capabilities.

With its premium build, advanced cover screen features, and powerful internals, the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is positioned as a strong contender in the foldable smartphone market when it officially launches later this week.
