Residents of the capital and surrounding areas can expect cold and dry weather during the day, while temperatures are likely to drop significantly during the early hours, leading to frost formation.

For Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the PMD predicts similar conditions with cold and dry weather prevailing during the day and very chilly conditions expected at night for Islamabad.

The PMD reports that continental air is dominating most regions of Pakistan, resulting in dry weather patterns.

• Tuesday Forecast:

Cold and dry weather will prevail in most parts of the country. Hilly areas are expected to experience particularly frigid conditions during the night. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist in patches across eastern Punjab and upper Sindh during nighttime hours.

• Wednesday Forecast:

Cold and dry conditions will continue across much of Pakistan. The hilly regions will remain very cold during the morning and night hours. In addition to the frost expected in Islamabad, frosty conditions are also likely in parts of Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, and upper Punjab. Moderate to dense fog is anticipated in eastern Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night.

During the past day, rain accompanied by thunderstorms and snowfall in hilly areas occurred in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Pothohar region. Other parts of the country experienced dry and cold weather, while hilly areas remained extremely cold.
