Motorola Edge 70 Fusion Launches Slim Design With Bigger Battery

moto business edition

The new Motorola Edge 70 Fusion enters the European market with a refined balance between slim design and battery endurance. While the standard Edge 70 prioritized thinness at just 6.0mm with a reduced 4,800mAh battery, the Fusion model takes a more practical approach by combining a thinner profile with a larger power capacity.

At 7.2mm thick, the device is slimmer than its predecessor while retaining a robust 5,200mAh battery — matching the capacity of the earlier Fusion generation. Despite the design changes, weight remains steady at 177g, preserving a lightweight in-hand feel without sacrificing endurance.

Performance is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset built on a 4nm process by TSMC. The processor introduces Cortex-A720 and A520 cores, delivering around 15% faster performance compared to the previous model. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 810 GPU, supporting smoother gaming and improved multitasking efficiency.

Motorola has also upgraded the display experience. The phone features a quad-curved 6.78-inch OLED panel with 1272p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches an impressive 5,200 nits, improving outdoor visibility and surpassing the standard Edge 70. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and backed by IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, alongside MIL-STD-810H durability certification.

Photography remains a key highlight. The dual rear camera system includes a 50MP primary sensor using technology from Sony and optical image stabilization for sharper photos. It is paired with a 13MP ultra-wide lens featuring macro capability, while the front camera uses a 32MP sensor for high-resolution selfies.

Battery charging remains fast with 68W wired support, though wireless charging is absent. The device arrives in multiple Pantone-inspired finishes with textured backs.

The European version emphasizes slimness, while India receives a thicker variant with a larger 7,000mAh battery. Available now through Motorola’s online store, the Edge 70 Fusion is priced at €420 in Europe and £370 in the UK, including bundled wireless earbuds in select markets.
