Murree Brewery posts over 24% surge in annual profit

Karachi, September 19, 2025 – Murree Brewery Company Limited on Friday announced strong financial results, declaring a surge of more than 24% in net profit for the year ended June 30, 2025.

According to the company’s filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Murree Brewery reported an after-tax profit of Rs3.26 billion for fiscal year 2024-25, up from Rs2.62 billion in the previous year. Earnings per share also improved, reaching Rs117.92 compared to Rs94.76 last year.

The board of directors recommended a final cash dividend of Rs14.5 per share for 2025, in addition to the interim dividend of Rs27 already paid. Gross profit for the year stood at Rs7.38 billion, significantly higher than Rs5.62 billion a year earlier.

The results further showed selling and distribution expenses rising to Rs1.79 billion from Rs1.31 billion, while administrative expenses increased to Rs795 million from Rs719 million. Murree Brewery also reported paying Rs2.06 billion in income tax, up from Rs1.45 billion in the preceding year.

Founded in 1860, Murree Brewery is one of the oldest companies in South Asia and remains Pakistan’s only beer producer. The company has diversified operations through its liquor, Tops, and glass divisions, producing beverages, food products, and glass containers.

Headquartered in Rawalpindi, with manufacturing facilities in Rawalpindi and Hattar, Murree Brewery continues to hold a prominent position on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
