Murree Brewery posts over Rs2 billion profit in half-year FY26

Karachi, February 20, 2026 – Murree Brewery Company Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading liquor producers, has reported after-tax earnings of Rs2.05 billion for the first half (July–December) of fiscal year 2025-26, marking a significant increase from Rs1.84 billion in the same period last year.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) rose to Rs74.17 for the half-year ended December 31, 2025, compared to Rs66.64 in the previous year. In a board meeting held on February 20, 2026, the directors approved an interim cash dividend of Rs12 per share, in addition to an earlier interim dividend of Rs5 per share already paid.

Murree Brewery’s total sales for the period increased to Rs15.22 billion, up from Rs13.16 billion, while gross profit climbed to Rs4.26 billion from Rs3.68 billion year-on-year. Administrative expenses also rose to Rs425 million, compared with Rs384 million during the same period last fiscal year.

The company recorded income tax payments of Rs1.15 billion for the half-year, slightly higher than Rs1.12 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The financial results reflect Murree Brewery’s continued growth in domestic and international markets, demonstrating strong demand for its products despite regulatory and market challenges. Analysts view the solid performance and dividend announcement as a positive signal for investors and stakeholders, highlighting the company’s robust revenue generation and consistent profitability.
