Netflix has released the first trailer for Enola Holmes 3, offering fans a glimpse of a new mystery adventure starring Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill and Louis Partridge.

The trailer, released on Tuesday, opens with a chaotic wedding morning for Enola Holmes, the young detective portrayed by Brown. The teaser quickly shifts into action as Enola becomes involved in the apparent kidnapping of her brother, Sherlock Holmes, played by Cavill.

Partridge returns as Viscount Tewkesbury, Enola’s love interest and groom, as the latest installment expands the franchise’s scope with a new setting in Malta.

According to Netflix, the third film follows Enola as she becomes entangled in a dangerous investigation that is described as more treacherous than any case she has faced before. The story continues the blend of mystery, adventure and family dynamics that helped make the previous films popular with audiences worldwide.

Several cast members from earlier installments are also returning, including Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.

The trailer generated strong reactions online, with fans expressing enthusiasm for Brown’s return as the lead detective. Many praised the actress for continuing to develop the franchise, while others highlighted their anticipation for the new storyline and returning cast.

Brown, who also stars in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, has become closely associated with the Enola Holmes franchise since the first film debuted in 2020.

Netflix has scheduled the theatrical release of Enola Holmes 3 for July 1, adding to a busy summer slate of film releases as streaming platforms increasingly invest in established franchises and recognizable characters.

The new installment is expected to build on the success of its predecessors, which combined classic detective storytelling with a modern interpretation of the Holmes universe.
