Netflix

Netflix has officially unveiled the cast for its upcoming limited series adaptation of Edith Wharton’s classic novel, The Age of Innocence.

The highly anticipated project promises to reimagine the timeless story for a modern audience while staying faithful to its original themes of love, identity, and social duty.

The Age of Innocence series will feature a talented ensemble of 14 actors. Confirmed stars include Fiona Glascott, Belinda Bromilow, Emma Shipp, Camila Morrone, Kristine Froseth, Ben Radcliffe, and Margo Martindale. Supporting cast members include Hayley Mills, Ryan Morgan, Will Tudor, John Light, Steven Pacey, Kel Matsena, Lucia Balordi, Elly Roberts, Jack Cutmore-Scott, Anna Madeley, and Michael Cochrane.

Emma Frost serves as showrunner and writer, bringing a fresh creative lens to Wharton’s novel. The show’s logline highlights its exploration of passion and restraint: “The Age of Innocence explores freedom, duty, identity, and love in all its forms.” The narrative is expected to capture the elegance of 19th-century society while raising questions that still resonate today—what is love, what is lust, and should one follow the heart or the head?

The production team includes executive producers Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Tracey Cook, Shannon Murphy, Pavlina Hatoupis, and Frost herself. With such a strong creative team, The Age of Innocence aims to captivate both longtime admirers of Wharton’s work and new viewers discovering the story for the first time.

While Netflix has yet to confirm an official release date, anticipation is already building for The Age of Innocence.
