Nicole Kidman was taken to hospital after pushing through illness to complete a physically demanding wrestling scene for the upcoming series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, underscoring her reputation for unwavering commitment to her craft.
Co-star Nick Offerman said the production team had initially expected delays after learning Kidman was suffering from the flu on the day of filming. “We were told we might not get Nicole that day,” Offerman recalled, describing uncertainty on set as preparations began for the intense sequence.
Despite her condition, Kidman arrived and insisted on completing her scenes. Offerman described the actress as visibly unwell but determined, noting she “made sure that we got every shot of her,” even as the physically demanding shoot progressed.
The scene required wrestling choreography, adding to the strain on the Oscar-winning performer, who reportedly appeared pale and fatigued throughout filming. Following the shoot, Kidman was taken to hospital, where she received intravenous treatment to recover.
Her decision to proceed with filming, despite illness, reflects a work ethic that has defined her decades-long career in Hollywood. According to Offerman, once in the ring, Kidman remained focused, adopting a “let’s go” mindset that carried her through the demanding sequence.
The series also stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning, contributing to strong anticipation around the project.
While production schedules often face disruption due to unforeseen circumstances, Kidman’s determination ensured filming stayed on track — though not without personal cost.
