No Relief Yet: Hot and Humid Conditions to Dominate Sindh

Weather

Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts continued hot and humid conditions across most districts, while coastal areas are expected to experience partly cloudy skies.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that hot and humid weather will continue to prevail across most districts of Sindh over the next 24 hours, urging residents to take necessary precautions against the persistent heat.

According to the latest weather outlook issued on Monday, the province is expected to remain under the influence of warm and moisture-laden conditions, resulting in uncomfortable weather throughout the day.

The forecast indicates that daytime temperatures will remain high, accompanied by elevated humidity levels, making outdoor activities more challenging.

The PMD stated that while the majority of Sindh will experience hot and humid conditions, coastal districts are likely to witness partly cloudy skies. However, these cloud formations are not expected to bring significant rainfall during the forecast period.

Meteorologists noted that the combination of high temperatures and humidity may increase the heat index, causing conditions to feel warmer than the actual air temperature.

Residents, particularly children and people working outdoors, have been advised to remain hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and limit strenuous activities during peak afternoon hours.

The ongoing weather pattern is typical for this time of the year, especially in southern Pakistan, where humid air from the Arabian Sea often combines with high temperatures to create uncomfortable conditions across the province.

In coastal areas, including Karachi and nearby districts, partly cloudy weather may provide temporary relief from intense sunshine. However, humidity levels are expected to remain elevated, contributing to muggy conditions throughout the day and night.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department continues to monitor weather developments and will issue updated advisories if there are any significant changes in atmospheric conditions.

Citizens are encouraged to stay informed through official weather bulletins and take appropriate measures to protect themselves from heat-related illnesses.

The prevailing weather pattern is expected to keep most parts of Sindh under hot and humid conditions during the next 24 hours, with no major changes anticipated in the immediate forecast.
