Nothing has officially launched the highly anticipated Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition, a unique release created in collaboration with members of the Nothing user community.
Announced earlier this year in March, the special-edition smartphone is now available with extremely limited stock, making it one of the brand’s most exclusive devices to date.
Nothing has confirmed that only 1,000 units of the Phone (3a) Community Edition will ever be produced. Interested buyers can register until December 11, after which a limited sales window will open on December 12 exclusively through the company’s official website.
This Community Edition project attracted more than 700 submissions from users worldwide, each contributing design concepts, software ideas, accessory concepts, and creative storytelling elements. Nothing selected five standout creators who collaborated closely with the company’s design, software, marketing, and creative teams in London to bring their ideas to life.
The winners include Emre Kayganacl for hardware design, Ambrogio Tacconi and Louis Aymond for accessory design, Jad Zock for lock screen clock and wallpaper design, and Sushruta Sarkar for the marketing campaign. Their contributions shaped the unique identity of this special edition.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition features a design inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s aesthetic, giving the device a nostalgic yet modern look. A standout accessory—a custom dice set—comes in a box featuring numbers styled in Nothing’s signature Ndot 55 font. The exclusive software visuals include a minimalist clock face and a wallpaper that seamlessly blends the device’s rear texture with the front interface.
In terms of hardware, the phone retains the same specifications as the standard Nothing Phone (3a). It comes with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000-nit peak brightness, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a triple rear camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 50W fast charging. The Community Edition is offered in a premium configuration with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, priced at £379 / €379 / ₹28,999 / ¥59,800.
