The Nothing Phone (3) is not just a hardware upgrade—it’s a bold reimagination of how users interact with their smartphones.
At the core of this transformation is the new Glyph Matrix, a monochrome LED display composed of 489 individually addressable lights placed at the back of the phone.
More than a visual gimmick, this feature turns the rear panel into an interactive dot-matrix screen, offering real-time caller ID, app alerts, battery status, and even mini-games—all without picking up the device.
Nothing’s commitment to user experience continues with Glyph Toys, a collection of quirky, interactive tools like Solar Clock, Glyph Mirror, Stopwatch, and playful games like Spin the Bottle. These can be accessed with a dedicated Glyph Button, allowing quick toggling between modes. This unique feature set aims to reduce screen dependence while adding personality and functionality.
Design-wise, the Nothing Phone (3) adopts an asymmetrical rear layout that breaks away from uniformity. It houses a powerful triple 50MP camera system, including a 1/1.3” main sensor with OIS, a 70mm periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and telemacro support, and an ultrawide shooter with a 114° field of view.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage.
A 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness ensures a smooth, vibrant visual experience. For power, the 5,150mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15 runs the show, with a confirmed upgrade to Android 16 later this quarter. Users are also promised five years of Android updates and seven years of security patches, solidifying Nothing’s long-term support stance.
With its futuristic Glyph Matrix, thoughtful features, and strong specs, the Nothing Phone (3) is more than a smartphone—it’s a statement on how tech can be both functional and fun.
