Nothing has officially announced its latest mid-range smartphones, the Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. Both devices share the same platform but differ in features, with the Pro variant offering enhanced cameras and a refined design.
Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: Premium Mid-Range Experience
The Nothing Phone (3a) Pro boasts a 6.77-inch OLED display protected by Panda Glass, delivering up to 1,300 nits of brightness. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and is available in three configurations: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, depending on the region.
Camera capabilities are a standout feature of the Phone (3a) Pro. The primary camera houses a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor with an f/1.88 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, a 50MP 1/1.95″ periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom extends up to 6x using TrueLens 3.0 AI enhancement. An 8MP ultrawide sensor completes the rear camera setup. On the front, a high-resolution 50MP f/2.2 shooter ensures crisp selfies.
Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 50W fast charging, allowing users to charge up to 50% in just 19 minutes. The Phone (3a) Pro features the signature Nothing Glyph interface, providing an interactive LED notification system. It also includes an Essential Key under the power button for quick access to frequently used functions. The device is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance.
The Phone (3a) Pro runs NothingOS 3.1 based on Android 15, with three major OS updates and six years of security patches promised. It is available in Grey and Black, with pricing starting at £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999. Pre-orders begin on March 11.
Nothing Phone (3a): A Budget-Friendly Alternative
The standard Nothing Phone (3a) retains the 6.77-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, and 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging. However, its camera setup differs from the Pro model. The primary 50MP f/1.88 camera remains unchanged, but the periscope telephoto lens is replaced by a 50MP 2x zoom camera with a 1/2.74″ sensor. The ultrawide 8MP lens is identical to the Pro variant. Meanwhile, the front camera is downgraded to 32MP f/2.2.
Like its Pro counterpart, the Phone (3a) includes the Nothing Glyph interface, Essential Key, IP64 certification, and a long-term software update policy. It is available in Black, White, and Blue (though the Blue variant won’t be sold in the US).
Pricing starts at £329 / €329 / INR 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 12GB/256GB variant is priced at £379 / $379 / €379. The Indian market also offers an 8GB/256GB option at INR 26,999.
With these latest additions, Nothing continues to strengthen its position in the mid-range smartphone market, offering sleek design, innovative features, and solid performance at competitive prices.
