Nvidia Unveils RTX Spark: Powerful Blend of CPU and RTX 5070 GPU

Nvidia has officially entered the consumer superchip market with the launch of the RTX Spark at Computex 2026. The new chipset combines a powerful ARM-based CPU with an RTX-class GPU, creating a unified platform designed for AI computing, content creation, and gaming. The announcement marks a significant step in Nvidia’s strategy to bring enterprise-grade AI performance to consumer devices.

Powerful Combination of CPU and GPU

The RTX Spark superchip integrates Nvidia’s Grace CPU featuring up to 20 cores and a Blackwell-based GPU equipped with 6,144 CUDA cores. The GPU configuration closely matches the specifications of the RTX 5070 graphics card, offering high-end graphics performance for demanding workloads.

Built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm manufacturing process, the chipset also supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory. This memory architecture allows the CPU and GPU to share resources efficiently, improving performance in AI applications and multitasking environments.

Enterprise Technology Adapted for Consumers

The RTX Spark is derived from Nvidia’s GB10 chip, which powers the DGX Spark mini-PC platform. Originally designed for enterprise AI workloads, the technology has now been adapted for consumer laptops. Nvidia’s move reflects the growing demand for portable devices capable of handling advanced AI tasks locally without relying heavily on cloud computing.

The company claims that RTX Spark can deliver up to 1 petaflop of AI computing performance, making it one of the most powerful laptop-focused chips announced to date.

AI Agents Become the Main Focus

During the keynote presentation, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that RTX Spark is primarily designed for running AI agents locally on personal computers. Unlike traditional large language models, AI agents can perform more complex and autonomous tasks, requiring significant computing power and memory capacity.

The inclusion of up to 128GB of unified memory is intended to support these next-generation AI workloads while maintaining efficiency in compact devices.

Major Laptop Brands Adopt RTX Spark

Nvidia confirmed partnerships with leading PC manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Microsoft. These companies are expected to launch RTX Spark-powered laptops later this year.

Microsoft is also preparing to introduce the Surface Laptop Ultra, which Nvidia describes as its most powerful laptop yet. While official pricing has not been revealed, industry observers expect RTX Spark laptops to command premium prices, given that Nvidia’s enterprise-focused DGX Spark systems currently cost between $3,500 and $4,700.
