The OnePlus 15, which first launched in China in October before expanding globally earlier this month, is now one major step closer to reaching the US market.

Although OnePlus completed all required testing and submitted documentation to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on time, an unexpected government shutdown delayed the agency’s ability to issue certification. As a result, the handset remained unavailable to US consumers despite being ready for launch.

Today, that delay has officially come to an end. The OnePlus 15 has now received its FCC certification, removing the final barrier preventing its release in the United States. With approval secured, OnePlus is expected to announce availability details very soon, finally aligning the US rollout with other global markets.

The OnePlus 15 arrives as one of the most powerful flagships of the year. It features a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a sharp 1272×2772 resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports up to 1,800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, offering excellent visibility in direct sunlight.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to a massive 1TB. This combination promises top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and demanding applications.

The camera setup includes three 50MP sensors: a primary lens with OIS, a periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultrawide lens for expansive shots. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Battery life is also a standout feature thanks to a large 7,300mAh battery. The OnePlus 15 supports 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and even 10W reverse wireless charging. Out of the box, it runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16.

With FCC clearance finally secured, US customers can expect an official release announcement shortly. The OnePlus 15’s arrival now appears closer than ever.
