OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones.
Both devices will debut on December 26 in China, following their recent listing on the Oppo Store. Louis Jie, President of OnePlus China, confirmed key specifications, highlighting the advanced hardware that will power these flagship devices.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Elite Processors Confirmed
The OnePlus Ace 5 will feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, setting it apart as a high-performance device. Meanwhile, the Ace 5 Pro will go even further, running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
According to Jie, the Ace 5 is so advanced that its performance will rival a theoretical Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.5. The company promises that the new lineup will deliver a groundbreaking smartphone experience beyond a simple generational upgrade.
Innovative Glacier Battery Technology
OnePlus also teased its new Glacier Battery Technology, which utilizes a thin Si/C (silicon-carbon) design. This innovation allows for a thinner battery while increasing capacity, delivering improved energy efficiency without compromising the phone’s sleek form factor.
While exact battery specifications are yet to be revealed, rumors suggest the Ace 5 could feature a higher capacity, with the Pro version sporting a substantial 6,100 mAh battery.
Shared Hardware and Display Features
The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to share similar hardware, including a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display for vibrant visuals and smooth performance.
Both devices will likely house a triple-camera setup featuring a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. The overall dimensions of the two phones are also anticipated to be nearly identical.
With its advanced chipsets, cutting-edge battery technology, and premium hardware, the OnePlus Ace 5 series aims to set new standards in smartphone performance. More details will be revealed at the official launch event on December 26. Stay tuned for further updates as OnePlus continues to redefine the smartphone experience.
