Oppo has officially launched the Pad Air5 in China after weeks of teasers and previews, including an early unboxing reveal.
The latest Android tablet in Oppo’s lineup brings a strong mix of performance hardware, entertainment-ready visuals, and long battery life, making it an appealing option for students, professionals, and casual users alike.
Powering the Oppo Pad Air5 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, paired with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for efficient multitasking and smooth graphics performance. The tablet is offered with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring faster app loading and improved system responsiveness. Buyers can choose between Wi-Fi-only and 5G cellular variants, depending on their connectivity needs.
The Pad Air5 features a large 12.1-inch LCD display with a 2800 x 1980-pixel resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and enhanced viewing. With 900-nit peak brightness, the display is suitable for both indoor use and bright environments. Oppo is also offering a Soft Light edition featuring an anti-glare coating, designed to reduce reflections and eye strain during extended usage sessions.
For imaging, the tablet includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, both capable of recording 1080p video — ideal for video calls, online classes, and casual photography. The device runs ColorOS 16, bringing a suite of AI features and productivity tools tailored for multitasking and creative workflows.
Battery performance is another highlight, as the Oppo Pad Air5 is equipped with a 10,050mAh battery supported by 33W fast charging, offering extended usage times for streaming, work, and gaming.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and 5G support on compatible models. Color choices include Starlight Powder and Space Gray, with the Soft Light version available in select configurations.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,899 for the 8GB/128GB Wi-Fi model, rising to CNY 2,499 for the 12GB/256GB option. The 5G 8GB/128GB version is priced at CNY 2,399, while the Soft Light variants begin at CNY 2,399. Sales officially begin on December 31.
