China has reiterated its stance that while it does not seek confrontation, it will not back down if a trade and tariff war is forced upon it. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian made these remarks during a press briefing on Thursday, responding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s renewed threat to impose additional tariffs on Chinese imports.
