Pakistan secured a dominant 57-run victory over Bangladesh in the second T20I at Lahore, sealing the series 2-0 with yet another emphatic performance.

The home side once again crossed the 200-run mark, displaying an impressive combination of explosive batting and disciplined bowling that left Bangladesh struggling throughout the contest.

Batting first, Pakistan posted a formidable total of 201 for the second consecutive match. The innings was powered by a solid partnership between Sahibzada Farhan and Mohammad Haris. Farhan played a brilliant knock, scoring 74 runs and anchoring the innings with confidence, while Hasan Nawaz provided late fireworks with an unbeaten 51, maintaining his excellent form in the series. Despite a late fightback from Bangladesh’s bowlers—particularly Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who picked up two wickets each—Pakistan ended with a challenging total.

In reply, Bangladesh faltered under pressure and were bowled out for 144 inside 19 overs. Pakistan’s bowlers remained on top throughout the innings, led by Abrar Ahmed, who delivered an exceptional spell of 3 for 19 in his four overs. He was well supported by Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, and Haris Rauf, each claiming a wicket to dismantle the Bangladeshi batting lineup.

Bangladesh struggled to find rhythm in their chase. Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were the only top-order batsmen to reach double digits. A late surge from Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who struck a valiant half-century, was the only highlight in an otherwise lackluster innings from Bangladesh.

Sahibzada Farhan was named Player of the Match for his outstanding 74-run knock. Reflecting on his performance, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return to the national side. He credited his experience in Pakistan’s domestic circuit and franchise cricket for helping him grow as a player and promised to keep working on improving further.

With this victory, Pakistan have not only wrapped up the series but also sent a strong message with back-to-back wins against Bangladesh, reaffirming their strength in home conditions. Bangladesh, meanwhile, will look to regroup and bounce back in the final T20I.
