Lahore, June 1, 2025 – Pakistan wrapped up a commanding T20I series whitewash against Bangladesh with a resounding seven-wicket win in the third and final match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

The home side successfully chased down a stiff target of 197 runs in just 17.2 overs, driven by a breathtaking unbeaten century from Mohammad Haris.

This T20I series was a clear showcase of Pakistan’s dominance, as they clinched all three matches against Bangladesh with confident performances across all departments. In the final encounter, Mohammad Haris was the star of the show, smashing an explosive 107 runs off just 46 balls. His innings was laced with boundaries and sixes, dismantling the Bangladesh bowling attack and thrilling the Lahore crowd.

Although Pakistan lost opener Sahibzada Farhan early in the first over, the team bounced back with a powerful 92-run stand between Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris. The duo took charge and shifted the momentum in Pakistan’s favor. Saim Ayub played a fluent knock before falling to Tanzim Hasan Sakib, but the dismissal did little to halt Pakistan’s progress.

Following Ayub’s departure, Hasan Nawaz joined Haris in the middle and continued the assault. The young duo maintained Pakistan’s dominance, ensuring the run chase never lost steam. Haris reached his maiden T20I century in style, guiding Pakistan to a comfortable series-clinching win.

Bangladesh, despite showing moments of promise, particularly through Mehidy Hasan Miraz, struggled with the ball. Mehidy managed to pick two wickets, including the key scalp of Farhan, but his efforts went in vain as other bowlers failed to contain the run flow. Tanzim Hasan Sakib was the only other wicket-taker for Bangladesh in this T20I match.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to field first. Bangladesh posted a competitive total of 196/6 in their 20 overs. Pervez Hossain Emon led the charge with a quickfire 66 off 34 balls, while Tanzid Hasan added 42 runs. Skipper Litton Das and Tawhid Hridoy chipped in with 22 and 25 respectively.

Pakistan’s bowlers delivered a balanced performance. Hasan Ali and Abbas Afridi claimed two wickets apiece, while Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan picked up one each, helping restrict Bangladesh to a chaseable total.

With this victory, Pakistan not only completed a 3-0 clean sweep in the T20I series but also sent a strong message ahead of upcoming international fixtures. The performance will boost the team’s confidence, while Bangladesh will look to regroup after a tough tour. Both sides now turn their attention to future T20I campaigns, with Pakistan savoring a memorable series triumph.
