Lauderhill is all set to host the second T20I between Pakistan and West Indies on August 3, 2025, at the Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium.
The match will begin at 5:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time and could decide the fate of the three-match T20I series.
Pakistan won the first T20I and now have a golden chance to seal the series in Lauderhill. On the other hand, the West Indies, who have now lost six T20I matches in a row, are desperate to make a comeback and force a series decider.
In the first T20I, West Indies looked solid at the start while chasing 179 but struggled in the middle overs. Pakistan’s spinners took full advantage, regularly taking wickets. Missing key players like Brandon King, Rovman Powell, and Shimron Hetmyer, West Indies are relying on Shai Hope, Johnson Charles, and Sherfane Rutherford. Hope, who played well against Australia recently, will be especially important.
Shamar Joseph impressed with three wickets in his T20I return, but captain Shai Hope may rethink his bowling strategy after using only seven overs of spin in conditions that seemed favorable.
For Pakistan, the tour has started well after a tough series in Bangladesh. Saim Ayub’s 57 in the first match was a highlight, supported by steady performances from others. Fakhar Zaman and Salman Agha are still searching for strong innings. Among the bowlers, Mohammad Nawaz, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Saim Ayub controlled the game, while Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf need to improve their economy.
Lauderhill will now witness whether West Indies can finally break their losing streak in T20Is or if Pakistan will continue their dominance in this format. All eyes are on the second T20I at Lauderhill.
