Bulawayo, November 27, 2024 – Pakistan fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been ruled out of the final One-Day International (ODI) against Zimbabwe following injuries sustained during Sunday’s training session.

According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ahmed suffered a hamstring injury, while Shahnawaz sustained a left ankle injury. Initial scans and clinical assessments have confirmed the severity of their respective injuries, necessitating their return to Pakistan for further treatment.

Both players will arrive in Lahore on Wednesday and report to the National Cricket Academy, where they will undergo a comprehensive rehabilitation program under the supervision of the PCB medical team. The board emphasized that their recovery will follow strict protocols to ensure a safe and effective return to competitive cricket.

They are also part of the Pakistan squad for the T20I series, scheduled to be played in Bulawayo on December 1, 3, and 5.

Meanwhile, in a separate development, Aamir Jamal has been named as Ahmed Daniyal’s replacement for the T20I series. Aamir, already a member of the ODI squad, has featured in both ODIs of the ongoing series.
