Lahore, January 31, 2026 – Pakistan sealed the three-match T20I series against Australia in emphatic fashion, registering a dominant 90-run victory in the second T20I to take an unassailable 2-0 lead on Saturday.
Put in to bat, Pakistan posted an imposing total of 198 for 5, led brilliantly by captain Salman Agha, who top-scored with a commanding 76. Opener Usman Khan provided solid support with a well-timed half-century, while key partnerships kept the scoreboard ticking. A 55-run stand between Agha and Saim Ayub laid the foundation, before Usman Khan and Shadab Khan added a rapid 63-run partnership at the death. For Australia, Adam Zampa was the most economical bowler, finishing with figures of 1 for 27.
In reply, Australia never recovered from a disastrous start. Early wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head left the visitors reeling at 48 for 3 inside the Powerplay. Cameron Green offered brief resistance with a quick 35 off 20 balls, but his dismissal triggered a collapse as wickets fell in clusters. Australia were eventually bowled out for just 108.
Pakistan’s spinners dominated on a helpful surface, with Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed claiming three wickets each. Mohammad Nawaz, Saim Ayub and Usman Tariq chipped in to ensure relentless pressure throughout the chase.
Salman Agha was named Player of the Match, praising his team’s all-round performance and the Lahore crowd’s support. Australian captain Mitchell Marsh admitted Pakistan outplayed his side, especially in the Powerplay.
With the series already wrapped up, Pakistan will now aim for a clean sweep in the final T20I on Sunday, while Australia play for pride to avoid a whitewash.
