Islamabad, March 15, 2026 β The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has clarified that preparations for Hajj 2026 are progressing according to plan and dismissed reports suggesting a possible suspension of Hajj flights due to tensions in the Middle East.
In an official statement issued on Sunday, a spokesperson for the ministry rejected circulating media reports claiming that the Hajj flight schedule might be affected by the prevailing regional situation. The spokesperson termed such reports βbaseless and misleading,β stressing that no decision has been taken to suspend or delay flights for Pakistani pilgrims.
According to the ministry, all arrangements related to Hajj 2026 are continuing as scheduled. The process of issuing visas to intending pilgrims is currently underway at full pace, while administrative and logistical preparations are also being completed to ensure the smooth departure of pilgrims.
Officials said the government is working closely with relevant authorities to finalize travel arrangements, accommodation, and other services for thousands of Pakistani pilgrims expected to perform Hajj this year. The ministry emphasized that all operational planning is being carried out according to the official timeline.
The spokesperson further noted that the detailed Hajj flight schedule will be officially announced after Eid al-Fitr. Once released, pilgrims will receive complete information about their flight dates, airlines, and accommodation arrangements in Mecca and Medina.
The ministry urged pilgrims and the public to avoid relying on unverified media reports and instead follow only official announcements issued by the government.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring that all arrangements for Hajj 2026 are completed in an organized and timely manner so that Pakistani pilgrims can perform the religious obligation smoothly and without disruption.
