Karachi, January 17, 2026 — Pakistan Customs officials at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi, successfully intercepted two separate attempts to smuggle gold and undeclared foreign currency through the International Departures terminal.

In total, customs authorities seized ten STB gold bars weighing 100 tolas and undeclared foreign currency totaling USD 11,900, with a combined estimated value of PKR 50.682 million. FIRs have been filed under the Customs Act, 1969 in both cases.
