Islamabad, January 14, 2026 – Pakistan Customs has intensified its crackdown on non-customs-paid (NCP) vehicles, impounding a luxury Rolls-Royce and multiple heavy bikes during intelligence-based operations in Islamabad, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) said on Wednesday.
According to the FBR, Customs Enforcement Islamabad confiscated smuggled NCP vehicles, heavy bikes and electronic goods with a combined estimated value of Rs412.2 million. The seizures were made during late-night raids conducted across Islamabad and surrounding areas following credible intelligence about the movement and concealment of illicit goods.
A spokesperson said the Collectorate of Customs Enforcement carried out several targeted actions as part of the ongoing anti-smuggling campaign aimed at protecting the national economy and ensuring strict compliance with customs laws. During the operations, officials recovered one high-end Rolls-Royce car, 19 heavy motorcycles of Suzuki and Kawasaki brands, along with a large quantity of laptops and other electronic devices.
Subsequent verification and examination confirmed that all seized items were non-duty paid and had been illegally brought into the country in violation of the Customs Act, 1969. The confiscated goods were transported to a designated Customs warehouse for safe custody and further inspection.
Customs authorities have initiated legal proceedings under relevant provisions of the law, while investigations are underway to trace those involved and dismantle the wider smuggling network.
Reaffirming its resolve, the FBR said Pakistan Customs will continue intelligence-led enforcement operations to curb smuggling, prevent illicit trade and safeguard national revenue through sustained vigilance and strict implementation of customs regulations.
